Your Messages had passwords and personal info visible. Frosted replaced it with an opaque mask — your audience never sees it.

Three steps to privacy

Frosted sits in your menu bar. Toggle which apps to hide, start capturing, and share the Frosted window instead of your real screen.

1 🔓

Pick private apps

Open Frosted from the menu bar and toggle the apps you want hidden. Messages, Slack, personal email — whatever you need kept private.

2 ▶️

Start capture

Frosted creates a real-time mirror of your screen at 60fps. Private apps are masked with opaque grey overlays at the pixel level.

3 📷

Share the Frosted window

In Zoom, Discord, or Meet, share the Frosted window. Your audience sees everything except the apps you chose to hide.

Built for real workflows

Fast, simple, and designed so you never have to think about it once it's running.

60fps mirroring

Smooth, real-time screen capture using macOS native APIs. No lag, no dropped frames.

🔒

Pixel-level masking

Private content never enters the output stream. Apps are masked before any pixels leave your machine.

⌨️

Global hotkey

Press ⌥⇧P to instantly toggle masking on or off mid-call.

🖥️

Menu bar app

Lives quietly in the menu bar. Pick which apps to hide with simple toggles — no complex setup required.

🎥

Works everywhere

Compatible with Zoom, Discord, Google Meet, and any other tool that supports window sharing.

🚫

Zero content leaks

Unlike blurring, masked apps are completely replaced with solid overlays. No residual information escapes.
